This website provides local news on the most pressing issues faced in and around the districts of Hastings & Rye.

This is a heavily customised site with many specially developed Aspects. Features that can be found on this site include:

• Custom Site Template. The website has customised template, the banner of which containins the logo, imagery from the local area, and a signup form for the newsletter. The template also contains custom imagery in the left column, and a horizontal page menu. See the custom template here.
• Customised Home Page. The home page of the site was specially designed to feature a two-column layout. The page is packed with features including links to the latest news headlines, a slideshow, links to campaigns, the latest gallery pages, and a link to the Google map. • Online Donations via PayPal. The site features an easy-to-use donation form. The visitor simply types in how much they wish to donate, clicks the button, then can proceed to PayPal to donate the amount using a credit or debit card, safely and securely. See the PayPal donation page here.
• Petitions. A series of online petitions, allowing visitors to sign online and make their opinion count. View the petitions page here.
• Interactive Google Map. A map of the local area, with markers providing links to various points of interest on the site (such as campaigns, news articles, etc). A special custom development also shows the proposed route of a link road to be built in the area. See the Google Map here.
• Online Polls with Pie Charts. A variety of polls on different topics, on which the visitor can cast their vote. Results are shown as graphical pie charts. The number of polls, questions, and the different responses can all be controlled by the client via their CMS. View the polls here.
• Campaigns. An area of the site where visitors can read about campaigns being run by the client, and show their support for campaigns by signing up using a simple online form. View the campaigns page here.
• Blog. The site contains a blog, entitled "Big Ideas", that lists ideas about campaigns and local issues, opening the site up to feedback from its visitors. See the blog here.
• Dates for your Diary. By default, displays a list of forthcoming events with the nearest first, but there are also options to show past events (from either the last 6 months, or all-time). View the events page here.
• Image Gallery. A selection of images that can be browsed by thumbnail; clicking on a smaller picture will display the larger version. Browse the gallery here.
