Skype crashes worldwide... Eazyweb reveal the fix

Following the worldwide crash of the VOIP and messaging software Skype, programmers at Eazyweb reveal the solution to getting back online!

Follow these simple instructions, to get your Skype software back online:

Windows XP / Windows 2K

  1. Browse to the C:\Documents and Settings\<your_username>\Application Data\Skype directory
  2. Rename the shared.xml file

Windows 7 / Vista

  1. Browse to the C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\Skype directory
  2. Rename the shared.xml file

Thats it!

When you restart Skype, and login with your usual password, the system will be running correctly.
